St. Hilaire - Lorraine Cota, 80, of St. Hilaire, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in St. Hilaire. Lorraine Josephine Cota was born June 1, 1942 in Grafton, ND daughter of Lawrence and Josephine Currie. In 2002, Rick was the recipient of a pancreatic transplant after several years as a severe diabetic and in 2020 was diagnosed with prostate cancer. After his prostate cancer chemotherapy and radiation, the donor pancreas failed causing Rick to become a severe diabetic again which he fought with until his death. In 1980, he met Audrey Wahlert, the couple became very proud parents of Brandon in August of 1981.

Even though it was a lot of hard work, Sammy still enjoyed his many years on the farm. He was very proud there were only two owners of the Hermanson Family Farm, Sammy and his dad. Rick worked on family farms for his uncles, Dave, Gailard and Harry. In the mid-1970’s, Rick began driving over the road for different companies in the area including, Arctic Cat, JamTran, TDS, Anderson Trucking, Warren Transport, and Swingen Construction. While driving for Anderson Trucking in the late 1980’s, Rick delivered the granite steps to the Statue of Liberty during the renovation.

Barb twirled baton as a Tigerette, participated in Future Homemakers of America and was a two-time class president in addition to being a great friend to many. On January 4, 1969 Barbara wed her high school sweetheart Jerome M. Brazier at Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenbush. Together they built a loving family including Kimberly, Jason, Kristin, Jed and Kiley. Over 53 years they added 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren to their lives - each one very much loved and doted on. Sammy took pride in maintaining his farmyard, spending time with his family at the gatherings that went on over the years and having a great supply of chopped wood ready for winter. He also enjoyed travels to San Diego, CA to visit his brother, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Sammy had a soft spot in his heart for his pets, especially Flash and Mitzy and his kitties. With broken hearts, we are sad to inform you that our beloved Barbara Jeanne Brazier, age 71, of Norwood Young America passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. Barbara was born November 20, 1950 in Thief River Falls, MN the daughter of Wallace and Mavis Johnson and sister to Russell, Forrest & Karyl . Growing up, Barb excelled at school and was active as a Greenbush tiger.

He would laugh through the hard times and it never failed to light up the room. Richard Alan Wright was born July 12, 1956 in Litchfield, MN the son of Valentine and Janice Wright.
This was one of his favorite memories in his trucking career. Most recently he helped around the shop with Wright Construction for his brother, Randy and nephew, Hunter. Barb had a natural for eye decorating - particularly her uniquely magical way of making the farm house and Christmas trees into magazine-worthy examples of holiday spirit. She enjoyed decorating with her three daughters and her little touches often were reflected in picture-perfect shelves. When you spent time having a cup of coffee or a conversation you would feel how beautiful she was inside and out. Her cheerful demeanor, many hugs, phone call check-ins and nearly-always present smile will be greatly missed.
